Timbercoast provides construction, renovation, remodelling and building maintenance services across Vancouver Island. We manage projects from planning and site preparation through construction and completion, bringing the experience, skills and practical problem-solving required to deliver work that functions as intended.
Our experience includes commercial, hospitality, residential and custom construction, with particular expertise in projects where conventional approaches do not fit the site or the client’s needs.
REMOTE & DIFFICULT-ACCESS CONSTRUCTION
Some of the most rewarding projects are also the hardest to reach.
Timbercoast has extensive experience working in remote, coastal and difficult-access locations across Vancouver Island. We plan around challenging terrain, weather, transportation, limited infrastructure and the practical realities of getting people, equipment and materials to site.
Our remote construction experience includes work in locations such as Tsocowis Creek, Tsuquadra Point, Camper Bay and other remote areas along the West Coast Trail, where access is limited and careful coordination is essential. Helicopters must be used for material transport, site surveys and access because conventional transportation is not practical.
OFF-GRID CONSTRUCTION
Remote buildings often require more than a structure. They require systems that work independently and reliably.
Timbercoast incorporates off-grid infrastructure into projects where appropriate, considering power, water, waste, heating, access and long-term maintenance as part of the overall construction strategy.
Our experience includes remote facilities such as the West Coast Trail Guardian Cabins at Tsocowis Creek, Tsuquadra Point and Camper Bay, where construction requires careful consideration of site conditions, marine and air transportation for materials and equiptment, limited access and the long-term operation of the building.
The goal is not simply to build off-grid. It is to create practical, durable systems that work with the site and the way the building will actually be used.
RENOVATIONS & REMODELLING
Timbercoast works on existing buildings as well as new construction.
Structural remodelling, renovations, upgrades and building maintenance can improve the function and longevity of a property without unnecessarily disrupting the people or business operating within it.
For hospitality and commercial properties, we plan work around guests, staff and daily operations wherever possible.
MATERIALS & RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
Good construction starts with using the right resources in the right way.
We balance material availability, cost, efficiency, durability and the requirements of each site. Wherever practical, existing materials are refinished, reused or incorporated into new work, while new materials are selected with their long-term performance in mind.
